Lying down on the lawn of green
Kinda yellow added colour stung my eyes
The sky was so blue and grey
Before my eyes the marsh there with the same colour

So I stood up, marched to the wetland
Put my right foot slowly
And it got heavier

So I plucked it out and shook off my shoes
Then again from the one before the other
It was at my body temperature

You don't need to try to hold on
Whilst you are in there
No bonds to the land
You just go along with it
Floating or sinking down
No ties
It was somewhere like that

I was just about to melt in it
it almost felt good, I'd stay there for good
But then I saw the wind blew the shoes over
And I thought I could pull myself up to the ground

So I got myself out of the blue grey heaven
Standing in the green again
Feeling a bit nimble

And I put my shoes on, one weighed double
Stood there straight then I walked ahead

Whilst you are there
No bonds to nothing
You just go along with it
Standing or walking off
No ties

緑の草の上に寝ころびながら
黄色を加えたようなその色に目を刺されて
空は青くて
空はグレイ
そこに横たわる沼の色

だからぼくは立ち上がって
湿地に向かった
右の足からゆっくりと差し込むと
足はだんだん重たくなった

だからぼくは引き抜いた
足を振って靴を落として
それからもう一度同じ足から差し込んだ
中はまるで人肌の温度

しがみつく必要がない
地面と結びつくものなんて何もない
ただ身を任せて浮かぶか
ただ身を任せて沈むか
縛りつけておくものなんてそこには存在しない
そんな場所だった

その中でぼくは溶けてしまいそうだった
ほとんど気持ちがよくて
ずっとそこにいてもいいと思った
ぼくの目の前には風が吹いていて
ぼくの靴を転がした
だからぼくはそろそろ
ぼくを引っ張りあげてもいいかなと思ったんだ

ぼくは青くて灰色の天国から戻ってきた
そして再び緑の中で
ぼくは軽々と動いた

足を差し込んだ靴の片方は
二倍の重さがあった
まっすぐに立ってから
ぼくは進んだ

しがみつく必要がない
何かと結びつくものなんてない
